As an exceptional artisanal creation, the Diptyque candle deserves the utmost care. Here are a few tips to maximise its lifespan and enjoy it safely.

Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Protect delicate materials such as wood or marble by placing the candle on a tray or coaster. For the first burn, allow the candle to burn until the entire surface of the wax has liquefied (approximately 4 hours, depending on the fragrance). Do not let the candle burn for more than 4 consecutive hours after the initial burn. This prevents the wax from tunneling and ensures the wick is fully saturated, guaranteeing an even burn thereafter.

Light the candle at the start of the evening ritual, then gradually dim the lights. Its soothing fragrance evokes the comforting atmosphere of a serene day’s end, a gentle guide toward calm.

Keep the candle away from flammable materials. Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets. When lighting the candle, use a match to avoid any risk of burns. The wick may emit a slight amount of smoke when first lit. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not move a candle while it is lit or while the wax is still hot. Keep the candle away from drafts. Leave a distance of at least 10 cm (4 inches) between candles.
