What would you like to know?
Why does my ‘Spend to maintain’ and ‘Spend to next’ amount keep changing?
Your ‘Spend to maintain’ and ‘Spend to next’ are rolling amounts calculated based on your eligible Beauty Loop purchases. We always recommend referring to your account for the most up-to-date information, but here’s a quick rundown on what these mean…
Spend to maintain
Your 'Spend to maintain' is the amount you need to spend before your next anniversary date to maintain your current Beauty Loop level. This is determined by looking at the difference between what you have spent since your last anniversary date and the minimum spend for your current level. This amount will only change when you make an eligible purchase or make a return (unless you change levels and have a new anniversary date).
For example, if you upgraded to Level 3 on 1 August 2024 and have spent $100 on eligible purchases since upgrading, your 'Spend to maintain' will be $1,100 (given the minimum spend for Level 3 is $1,200).
Spend to next
Your 'Spend to next' is the amount you need to spend to reach the next level, based on your current spend. This is determined by looking at your Beauty Loop spend over a rolling 12-month period, meaning that it changes either when you make an eligible purchase, when you return something or when a purchase from more than 12 months ago stops contributing to your Beauty Loop spend.
For example, if you spent $100 on 1 May 2024, then spent another $200 on 15 May 2024 to become a Level 1 member, your 'Spend to next' amount on 16 May 2024 would be $300 (given the minimum spend for Level 2 is $600).
If you made no other purchases over the next 12 months, your 'Spend to next' amount would change to $400 on 1 May 2025, as your $100 purchase from 1 May 2024 would no longer contribute to your Beauty Loop spend.
