Squint and you’ll spot a purple vessel of fingerprinted SPF on the top shelf of Aotearoan pop superstar Lorde, who brought global attention to New Zealand’s Waiheke Island following a series of music videos filmed in 2021. The serene spot east of Auckland is known for its vast scenery, picturesque beaches and abundant vineyards and, coincidentally, is the very island that served as inspiration for the SPF on her shelf.
There’s skincare, and then there’s Emma Lewisham; a genuinely revolutionary brand combining the best of luxury beauty with science-backed skincare, a respect for mother nature and a pioneering spirit. As we partnered together to launch Sunceutical SPF 50 Mineral Face Crème in December of 2024, Emma spoke of the island whose rays influenced the first-of-its-kind zinc oxide formula designed to not only shield your complexion, but support collagen production for skin longevity with biopeptides and niacinamide.
With an invitation to Emma’s family home on Waiheke Island, we jumped at the opportunity to see this striking source of inspiration for ourselves - and take you along for the ride.
