MECCA HQ Tries Charlotte Tilbury’s Most Iconic Products

In the world of beauty (and beyond), it’s a commonly held conviction that Charlotte Tilbury products are imbued with some kind of magic.
From the filter-effect complexion hero that could never be replicated to the famous pink-nude shade that flatters everyone, Charlotte Tilbury’s legendary beauty can be found on the faces of celebrities, supermodels and MECCA team members everywhere.
Needless to say, when the opportunity presented itself to trial Charlotte Tilbury’s most iconic products (for some, again), MECCA HQ was ready to get glowing. Here’s what the team had to say.
Elle, Reward Operations Specialist
Elle tried the Matte Revolution Lipstick in the universally flattering shade that sparked a collection of products in subtle, rosy hues: Pillow Talk. “It’s just one of those everyday, go-with-everything staples,” she says. “The colour’s such a classic... it gives that perfect your-lips-but-better look.”
As for the matching Lip Cheat liner, Elle reports it made her lips “look way more defined but still natural.” Matte, long-lasting and never drying, she’d wear the iconic lip combo to “a brunch, a day at work or even on a night out with a bit more eye makeup.”
Kamini, Paid Media Lead
Now, Charlotte’s famous primer-illuminator hybrid might just be her new favourite. “When I tried the Hollywood Flawless Filter, I was so surprised at how lightweight the formula is and the way it’s so comfortable to wear! I had the best dewy glow all day long and got so many compliments on my complexion,” she says.
Kamini also tried the Beauty Light Wand – a luminous liquid highlighter that mimics the effects of Hollywood lighting – in ‘Goldgasm’. “The bronzy glow made me look sunkissed and really brought out my cheekbones,” she explains.
Mary, Supply Planner
Loyal to the products she loves, the always seamless, filter-like Powder continues to be Mary’s favourite. “I love that it’s a pressed powder, which is so convenient for on-the-go touch-ups (my T-zone is very grateful). Also, I love that it’s refillable!”
As someone with combination skin, Mary recommends the lightweight, oil-free Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray to lock in glow (not shine) – especially in the warmer months. “Wearing the powder and setting spray together, I felt like I was transformed into a glam queen!”
Julian, Digital Product Lead
One of the few at MECCA HQ who has never tried a Charlotte Tilbury product, Julian was excited to try the brand’s award-winning, skin-reviving moisturiser, the Magic Water Cream. “I have combination skin, so the fact that this was a lightweight gel-based cream immediately made me love it,” he says.
“I was shocked at how fantastic my skin felt... and what I loved the most is it gave my skin a natural shine without the feeling of it being oily or heavy on my skin.” For an extra boost of nourishing hydration, Julian also tried Charlotte’s Magic Serum Crystal Elixir. ‘The serum was a great addition on top of the Magic Water Cream,” he says. “I could easily use the serum to top up my glow throughout the day.”
The verdict? Julian added Charlotte’s Magic Hydration Revival Cleanser to round out his routine and was “blown away” by how well his skin responded to the new routine. “It really felt as though it was cleaning my skin without feeling as if it was stripping anything away,” he says. “Consider me the poster boy for Charlotte Tilbury skin!”
