High Altitude, Higher Standards: Allies of Skin’s Nicolas Travis’ In-Flight Beauty Routine

But in a pressurised cabin designed to sap every last drop of moisture from your face, what actually delivers? We sat down with Allies of Skin founder, Nicolas Travis, to talk altitude-proof glow, his most recent beauty buy and the product he uses to the very last drop. 

What is your in-flight skincare routine? 
Nicolas Travis: “My in-flight skincare routine is actually very simple. I don’t believe in doing skincare on the plane because of how many germs there are. I always do my full routine before boarding, then I rely on the Molecular Saviour Probiotics Treatment Mist throughout the flight. I’m constantly misting and applying the Allies of Skin Peptide & Ceramide Repair Lip Balm.”  

Do you have any quirky travel rituals or jet-lag remedies? 
NT: “I just make sure I sleep on the plane, that’s non-negotiable for me. I’ll usually listen to sound baths to help me relax and fall asleep more easily.”

NT: “For daytime, I’m using the Vitamin C 20% & Citrus Cells Advanced Firm & Glow Serum because it gives instant radiance and leaves the skin looking incredibly glassy, thanks to its diamond powder base. At night, I’m a big believer in retinoids, so I use the Retinal 0.1% & Peptides Advanced Repair Night Cream along with the CE15 Bakuchiol Firming Oil. I love mixing an oil with retinoids for the most incredible skin the next morning.” 

What's the most recent beauty product you bought? 
NT: “Magnesium bath salts. I love ultra-concentrated magnesium salts for relaxing and unwinding.”

NT: “Tretinoin.”
