Usage
The first time you burn your Diptyque candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours, until the whole top is liquid with wax. This will help your candle burn evenly throughout. After blowing out your candle, re-centre and straighten the wick. Before relighting your Diptyque candle, trim the wick to 1/4-inch length. Allow the candle to burn to the perimeter of the vessel before blowing out to avoid hollowing.
Warnings
As you know, a candle is a live fire. As a result, we include instructions and warnings with all of our candles and online. These include the following:
Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time;
Never leave a burning candle unattended;
Keep it away from draft;
Before relighting your candle, use a wick trimmer to trim the wick (ideal length: 3-5 mm) to avoid risk of fire;
Stop using your candle once there is only 5 mm of wax left or the metal wick sustainer base becomes visible.
