Of all the beauty gifts to give during the holiday season, skincare isn’t the first that springs to mind.

Given its highly individual nature, it can feel like it’s easy to get it wrong – yet, as MECCA Skincare Education Specialist (and Beauty Board member) Giorgi Strachan points out, that’s actually not the case!

“Some may believe that they need to know everything about the recipient’s skin in order to gift them skincare, but you don’t!” she explains.

“I love to look beyond the function and lean into the ritual of skincare and providing a moment of pause to my family and friends. Holiday brings a wonderful opportunity to gift products that may otherwise go undiscovered.

Limited-Edition Skincare Gifts For Holiday 2023

GS: “There are so many amazing limited-edition products out! My personal list includes Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream and The Renewal Icons Kit (editor’s note: launching at MECCA later this month!) – it includes The Rich Cream and The Eye Cream, with a great value saving. Emma Lewisham have also launched sets this year – a great one for those who love values-driven brands or are seeking the ultimate ‘cool girl’ gift.

“It would be remiss of me not to mention the Limited Edition Holiday MECCA COSMETICA To Save Face Superscreen SPF50+; this sunscreen is an essential in my gifting basket and a foolproof option that can be used by anyone of any age.”

Giorgi Strachan, MECCA Beauty Board expert.

For Skincare Beginners

GS: “Skincare sets have their needs covered! These curated packs are filled with well-loved favourites and are the perfect way to take the guesswork out of gifting – think of those looking to start a routine or a frequent traveller who needs their skincare on the go.

“Some top picks for this year include the MECCA Kiehl's Favourites – my starter pack for brothers and fathers alike – along with REN Clean Skincare's kits for those starting their skincare journey.”

For Skincare Lovers

GS: ''Devices and tools are perfect for enhancing their skincare routine! Slotting easily into practically every regimen, these tools can also help boost the performance of skincare they’re already using.

Cosmetics 27 Gua Sha White Jade is a great investment. This facial massage tool helps reduce puffiness and relieves tension over key areas on the face (another handy benefit post-holiday season festivities!).

“As a very luxurious gift delivering results, this year we launched the FaceGym Pro; an innovative sculpting and toning device, it’s one of the first of its kind to the Australian market, so it’s unlikely many will have this in their routine already!”

For Makeup Lovers

GS: “Skincare plays an important role in creating the perfect base for makeup. Charlotte Tilbury is the natural choice, and Charlotte’s Magic Water Cream is hot off the press! This moisturiser provides a lightweight feel, keeping the complexion looking fresh all day.

Dr. Dennis Gross is another brand whose products provide a glowy canvas for makeup. You can’t overlook their iconic Alpha Beta® Universal Daily Peel Pads – and this year, the limited-edition Holiday kit, All Stars, includes the Extra Strength version alongside two full-size serums and a travel-size moisturiser.”
