Get Jennifer Aniston’s Hair Routine in Just Three Steps

April 9 | 3 minute read

Words by Julia Lubitz

The master of the red-carpet LBD shows the same restraint when it comes to hair styling.

Her hair in the mid-’90s had its own mononym; her red-carpet uniform of choice an equally foolproof little black dress. Together, ‘The Rachel’ and its wearer, Jennifer Aniston, defined the decade’s look – one that, 30 years later, remains as Pinterest-ed as ever. In the time since, Aniston has added beauty founder to her accolades with her haircare brand LolaVie now a must-have on MECCA’s shelves.

While we could talk to Jen forever about LBDs, yoga poses and whether Ross and Rachel were really on a break, these days we find ourselves wanting to know everything she has to say about haircare. Here, Jen’s thoughts on the 2026 hair trends, savvy styling and buzzy ingredients worth knowing about.

Don’t Over-Style

For a look that doesn’t seem like you tried too hard, “It’s all about restraint,” Jen says. “Effortless hair always has a little air in it.” The key: dry your roots but not the ends, use less product than you think you need, then shake it out: “Literally flip your head over and break it up with your fingers.” Done!

One Product Can’t Do It All

“I’m a big believer in simple but strategic... I don’t like overcomplicating things,” says Jen. How to get her hair in three steps? First, LolaVie's Glossing Detangler. “Prep on damp hair. It gives hydration, heat protection and slip,” she advises. Step two is Perfecting Leave-In – apply then blow-dry: “I use it with a round brush for polish or a diffuser for natural texture.” And finally, “Finish with either the Sculpting Paste for definition or a touch of Lightweight Hair Oil on the ends for shine.”

Her Unpredictable Hair Fix

Formulating her own hair line gave Jen the chance to solve her own concerns. “My hair has a natural wave, and when it’s humid or overworked, it can get unpredictable,” she explains. “I wanted products that controlled frizz without flattening my texture.” Plus, all that red-carpet and on-screen styling saps moisture from within: “I also needed [heat] protection that didn’t feel heavy. That’s really why so many of our formulas are lightweight but hard-working. They smooth, strengthen and protect without making your hair feel coated.” We’d call that a breath of fresh hair.

Skincare for Your Crown

Treating your scalp and hair with the same intention you treat your skin is exactly what LolaVie is all about. “Skincare-first means layering hydration properly, protecting the barrier, strengthening at the fibre level and avoiding unnecessary fillers. Hair deserves that same level of care and innovation,” says Jen. The one ingredient making waves in both arenas: peptides [exhibit A from another icon: Gwyneth Paltrow’s goop beauty]. “In our Peptide Plumping Volume Shampoo and Conditioner, we use amaranth peptides, which are amazing for helping create lift from the root up,” Jen reveals. “For me, volume has never meant stiff or sticky; it means hair that feels naturally lifted... The amaranth peptides help create that fuller look while keeping movement and shine.”

This Year and Beyond

Now that it’s her job to know what’s coming next in hair before we do, Jen gave us some crystal-ball hints: “I think we’re moving into an era of personalised hair. Less ‘copy this exact cut’ more ‘what works for your texture and lifestyle’. And hopefully… a little less trauma around bangs.” Sounds like there’s an untold story there – maybe that one’s for next time!
