So, with the launch of this dazzling brand at MECCA, we asked Davy to create four looks for four very excited team members. Here are the results…

When we heard Donni Davy – the brand’s founder, Euphoria’s Head Makeup Artist, and human embodiment of glitter – would be joining us at MECCA HQ for the launch, we whisked her into the studio for an *extra* special (and sparkling) edition of MECCA Tries.
ICYMI, Davy is an icon in the makeup world thanks to her Emmy-winning artistry, as featured on the hit HBO show. Her bold, bejewelled eye looks, paired with lived-in (or rather, partied-in) skin, forever changed beauty culture, kickstarting a movement of what is now known as ‘Euphoria makeup’.
Her embellished wings, Technicolor lids and glitter tears (see the original ones first-hand as we go Behind The Beauty) inspired the creation of Half Magic, which gives everyone the tools to recreate magical beauty looks, every day.
Pam tries a holographic cheek
Our Senior Talent Acquisition Manager, Pam, picked up a couple of new beauty bag essentials after having her makeup done on set: “The Magic Drip Glitter Lip Gloss will definitely be part of daily routine – I’m literally wearing it as we speak,” she said.
The dazzling Eye Shadow Singles also impressed Pam, who told us she loved the way the shade ‘Blushing Lizard’ looks unique on every skin tone thanks to its duochrome finish. “Will definitely be adding to cart!” she declared.
Jack tries a faux piercing (or 10)
“I’m a diehard Euphoria fan and Zendaya is my Roman Empire. So, meeting Donni was extremely exciting!” says Event Specialist Jack.
His favourite part of the day (beside hearing all Davy’s BTS stories) was experimenting with the Face Studs to get the look of piercings without any of the commitment.
And while he might not be ready to book in a MARIA TASH piercing appointment at MECCA George Street, Jack says he will be adding a touch of shimmer to his night out looks using the Sparklestik Eye Crayon in ‘Punk Pony’: “It was effortless to apply and I loved that I could control the sparkle without it going everywhere I didn’t want it to be.”
Mia tries no-brow, all lip
Digital Analyst – and Euphoria production company A24’s number-one fan – Mia is ready to throw away every lip product in her collection after trying the Mouth Cloud Soft Matte Lip Cream in ‘Invoice Attached’: “I don’t normally wear a bright lip, but the texture is to die for and it’s so long-lasting,” she said, adding, “Let’s bring back colourful lips!”
It’s not just her lip products she’s switching, but her cheek products too. The Cheek Fluff Soft Blur Blush in ‘Magic Brownie’ left her impressed thanks to its plush, velvet-like texture and vibrant colour: “You only need the smallest amount to make your cheeks pop.”
Zahira tries a blue hue
Graduate Zahira, isn’t usually a stick-on gem fan, but her mind was thoroughly changed after wearing the Half Magic Face Gems for 6+ hours: “They were so lightweight, I honestly forgot I was wearing them.”
According to Davy, the Face Gems’ medical-grade hypoallergenic self-adhesive is to thank for that all-day comfort.
But it was the Flik Eraser Makeup Correcting Pen – a micellar water eraser pen that will save any eyeliner mishap – that has Zahira most excited: “Liquid liner can be very scary, so knowing I have a product that can assist in perfecting that wing really helps calm my nerves when applying it.”
